Oh my days. As a 30k Wolves fan I have been waiting for this day. Seeing as we committed the first full scale action of the Heresy against another Legion, we shouldn't have had to wait this long for some shoulder ads!!
And here they are: www.forgeworld.co.uk
I'm glad Forge World finally made up their mind and went with a red Legion symbol. Just like in Collected Visions. I'm happy.
FW said:
The Space Wolves are here! With torsos and shoulder pads released today, all 18 Legions now have upgrade sets. Made to work with resin or plastic Space Marines, these upgrade kits are a great way to personalise your Legion.
If you want a Space wolves Legion, the best way to start is with our Space Wolves Task Force. Order one and we'll send it to you with free shipping, check it out.
The torsos look pretty cool. not too bling, but bling enough:
There's a couple of other nice bits of fluff on the FW website too:
Since the days of the VIth Legion’s inception on Terra, it has remained a Legion apart from its fellows, its origins shrouded as it garnered a fearsome reputation for its warriors prowess as a shock-assault force as well a tireless pursuers and a peerless hunter-killer force. Unexpected violence was the Legions calling card, its campaigns unsubtle, but brutally swift.
Like the wolves of old Terra, the Space Wolves Legion's warriors’ assaults are calculated exercises in ferocity, aimed to tear and tend until the foe lies in ruins or is driven to its death. Conditioned to hold a near-suicidal disregard for danger and trained to exploit this to the fullest on the battlefield, the heavy infantry that form the core of the Legion’s battalions are a force that has been honed in battle against the countless enemies of Mankind and, it is whispered, against their own wayward brothers.
Also, are these new transfers I spy on the painted miniatures? I haven't got my transfer sheet to hand.
In any case, I am completely over the moon that these are finally here and I'll help myself to a couple of packs of shoulder pads in the next couple of weeks, as well as some of those torsos for my company Veterans.
What do you guys think?
Dave
